Counseling Partners of Los Angeles was founded in 2012 as a 501c3 non-profit corporation by Monica Taylor Dessert and Therese Funk to provide critically needed, affordable counseling and support services at Los Angeles inner city schools. CPLA was founded to fulfill our promise to never walk away from students in need. We strive each day to be a trusted partner with our students, families, schools and funders to honor the CPLA pledge to ensure success for every student every day. Our strong reputation and track record for working in partnership, providing excellent support for our schools, is fostered by our passion and our dedication to at-risk children. In our first year we were honored to support over 2,600 students at seven schools. This school year, we will be supporting over 5,000 students and families at 15 school sites, preschool through high school.
